Mt Dora Streetscape Update

Downtown Streetscape - Phase 2
The Streetscape project will include improvements to sidewalks, right of way, underground utility, and other related improvements in the historic downtown commercial core. The goal is to improve walkability of the downtown area by increasing pedestrian access and safety, while strengthening the physical and visual connection between the downtown core and the Lake Dora waterfront. Overall, the project will improve the walkability and accessibility of the downtown, in order to benefit the merchants, residents and visitors.



Scope of Work Donnelly Street from 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue
3rd Avenue from Dora Drawdy Way to Baker Street

Tentative Schedule:
Start construction May 2014 and end by October 1, 2014
 
 
Phase 2 improvements will include:• Replace water lines and sewer lines
• Replace stormwater lines and storm inlets, improve system capacity
• Widen roadways to accommodate more/safer parking
• Reconstruct sidewalks and ramps to be ADA compliant
• Install Paver Crosswalks
• Install new landscape and Irrigation
• Install new event power
• Install new street lights
• Install new street signs
• Install new street furniture
